TEST RUGBY THIS WEEKEND: Saturday 14 September

14.09.2013
South Africa v New Zealand in Auckland (Rugby Championship)
Argentina v Australia in Perth (Rugby Championship)

Briefly
It’s decision time. The Rugby Championship may not be finalised this weekend but the results will make interesting reading.

Argentina and Australia will be battling for the Wooden Spoon. Neither are yet to win and both have problems leading into this game. Argentina showed they can perform away from home by pushing the All Blacks last weekend in Hamilton. But they have been on the road for two weeks and the travel will take its toll.

Australia have injury and form problems. Captain James Horwell is still unavailable and Will Genia, who replaced Horwell as captain has been placed on the bench. Coach MacKenzie has made five changes to the side that lost heavily to South Africa last weekend. Whoever loses this match will have an uphill battle to stay away from the bottom of the table.

The big game of the year so far will be South Africa against New Zealand at Eden Park. Both are undefeated in this competition and in all games so far this season. The number one and number two teams in the world lock horns. It’ll be a cracker! New Zealand will face their biggest challenge since the 2011 Rugby World Cup final and will be without Richie McCaw injured. South Africa’s team is unchanged from last weekend.

  1. Please somebody take the TMO's and poor refereeing to task.
