TEST RUGBY RESULTS; Saturday 3 November

03.11.2012
Poland 22, Germany 13 in Gdansk (WCQ Europe R4; ENC 1B)
Malta 34, Lithuania 17 in Valette (WCQ Europe R3; ENC 2A)
Switzerland 29, Croatia 20 in Nyon (WCQ Europe R3; ENC 2A)
Latvia 27, Denmark 15 in Riga (WCQ Europe R2; ENC 2B)
Andorra 26, Serbia 23 in Belgrade (WCQ Europe R2; ENC 2B)
Norway 11, Bosnia Herzegovina 9 in Bergen (WCQ Europe R1; ENC 2D)

Briefly
Switzerland caused the upset of the weekend with a home win against the more fancied Croatian side. Switzerland are newly promoted to ENC 2A so this certainly was a huge win for the Swiss.

Lithuania’s standard has slipped since the heady days of 2010-11. With a higher international rugby profile comes the down side. Your best players venture to foreign lands to ply their trade and then counties like Lithuania have great difficulty in getting them released by their clubs.

Poland, even without a couple of their top French-based players were a better side than Germany.

Andorra caused a minor surprise with their win over Serbia away whilst Latvia and Norway bagged crucial home wins.
