EUROPEAN NATIONS CUP RUGBY: Poles Take On Czechs

15.10.2011
Czech Republic v Poland in Nowy Sacz (ENC 1B)

Venue: Stadion Sandecji

“I had to look up where Nowy Sącz is on the map, it's SE of Krakow…Fairly small stadium in terms of capacity (but it has floodlights which aren't shown on the photo), and a football stadium first and foremost but looks like the PZR are rewarding the home team RC Biało-Czarni Nowy Sącz and trying to grow rugby in this part of Poland.
Match will be shown on Polsat Sport and possibly on Eurosport too.” Thanks to ‘Quentin’ at http://www.fira-aer-rugby.com/forum2007/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3886

Preview
The battle to find a winner for the 2010-12 ENC 1B competition winner (and promotion to 1A) begins today in Poland. Both teams are tucked in behind the pacemakers Belgium and Moldova. Either teams needs a five point haul from this match to catch the leaders. Neither team is in any real danger of relegation.

The Czech Republic record against Poland looks good over the past two seasons but Poland’s record at this level of international rugby is slightly better. With a large number of France-based players it’s time Poland hit top gear. The result should be close.
