This is the first time in 5 years that these two teams have been in the same competition. Prior to that the Czech Republic has a distinctive advantage over the Ukrainians. But at present anything goes in ENC 2A. All teams appear even.

The Czechs are again missing Martin Jagr and also Robert Noves who are both placed with leading French clubs

  1. Ukraine - Czech Rep: 20-10!
    A pleasant surprise for me, as a Ukrainian.
    All of a sudden Ukraine is at the top of the table and a candidate for promotion to ENC, not to mention the slight mathematical chance of qualifying for RWC-2011. We'll see what the next match with Moldova brings...
    But overall, a lot of enthusiasm in Ukrainian rugby now as a result of this match!
